Cards

An international card on your account.

The card is how the account pays in the real world. It is issued in your name, linked to the balance, and meant for shops, travel and online payments outside your home country.

When the card is open, its details are in the client area: the number, the expiry date and the name printed on the card. Payments made with it appear in history next to other movements on the account.

If the card is lost, you can block it from the card page and unblock it when it is back with you. A replacement is requested from the same page. Keep the card, its number and any codes to yourself.

Cash at ATMs in the European Union

You can withdraw cash with a Continental Digital Banking card at ATMs across the European Union, in euro, up to the balance on the account. The withdrawal is listed in history. An ATM may show its own fee before you confirm. If you block the card, withdrawals stop until it is active again.

A plastic card by post

Sign in and choose Order a plastic card by post. Pick a country in the European Union and enter the city, postal code, street and a phone number. The plastic card is sent to that address. Delivery outside the EU is not on this form.

Classic and Plus

• Classic — payments abroad, online purchases, and cash at EU ATMs.
• Plus — the same account, a higher daily ATM limit, and plastic posted to an EU address as part of the plan.

Funds for a stay in the European Union

Consulates and immigration offices ask many applicants to show sufficient means of subsistence: money available for the stay. People often call that sum a subsistence minimum. The figure itself is set by the country and the purpose of the stay. A Continental Digital Banking account shows the balance you hold, and the statements in the client area are what you can present.
